Hey, all my grownup artists do you want to learn how to draw a couch or sofa? Your answer is yes, then you are in the right place. Because here I am showing three different types of design couch drawing in a few simple steps.
I have created these tutorials for beginners. So I am trying to make these tutorials as simple as possible. I made this drawing step by step. I think even if you are a beginner’s artist you will be able to draw a couch after follow all this step.
We all know some drawing materials are needed for drawing. See the list below for the materials I am using in this drawing. You can use them. You can even share your own tools in the comment box
- Sketchbook or drawing paper
- 2B pencil or HB pencil
- Pencil Compass
- Scale
- Eraser
- Marker pen
In this step-by-step sofa or couch drawing tutorial, I am showing three different design couch drawing. You remember to draw it very lightly because we will erase some lines in the later. Now let’s start first with a couch design drawing.
1st Design Couch Drawing
#Step 1 :
In this first step, we will draw a rectangle. Then we draw all the interior lines of the rectangle. Draw two straight parallel lines in the rectangle. Then draw two curves at the two ends of the straight line. Now we are drawing the part of the sofa bed.
#Step 2 :
Now we draw all other rest of curve line. You can see my drawing image in the below.
#Step 3 :
In three steps we draw two straight lines. We connect these two lines to another straight line. Basically, we need to draw a trapezoidal shape on the couch. This is usually the baseline at the top of the sofa drawaing.
#Step 4 :
Draw a curved line similar to my drawing. Then we draw another line after the first curve, maintaining some distance. You can draw any design as per your choice.
#Step 5 :
In this step, we will draw all crosse lines. First, we will draw a one direction parallel straight line with some angle. Then we draw all other straight lines in opposite directions with some angle.
You don’t understand how to draw this line then you see my drawing image. And now we draw the sofa leg. draw a straight line then draw an angle and joint these two by another line.
#Step 6 :
All cross point doing dark similar to my image. Draw all outlines with the marker pen. Then removed all unnecessary line by the easer. You can color this couch.

2nd Design Couch Drawing
In the second design i draw a wooden cheair type sofa or couch. So my friends here you lear wooden type sofa drawing drawing.
#Step 1 :
Draw a trapezium and extend the line slightly at one end. Let’s look at the picture in below.
#Step 2 :
We will now draw the arms and legs of the sofa using the lines we have drawn.
#Step 3 :
The legs and arms are drawn on one side of the sofa and now we will draw the design on that part.
#Step 4 :
Draw the legs and arms on the other side as shown in the picture below.
